Call for organisers of a future conference
Participants and organisers agree that cAIR10 was a
great success (see evaluation). The cAIR
concept is based on a unique combination of
three things:
- breadth (all areas of interculturality research)
- constructive collaboration (among those areas, but especially
between practice and theory); and
- quality control (fair, helpful evaluation procedures).
The cAIR concept will only reach its full potential and have lasting
impact when the conference becomes a series. A second cAIR will be
easier to organise than the first, because it will be able to take
advantage of an existing infrastructure and the goodwill of some one
hundred international practitioners and researchers who contributed to
cAIR10 as organisers, presenters, discussants or reviewers.
Would you like to host a second cAIR? The conference is a unique
opportunity to transcend your usual boundaries, add a unique
qualification to your CV, and network with people from diverse
geographical and professional areas - but with a single common
interest, namely the promotion of intercultural cooperation and the
solution of intercultural problems. It is also an opportunity to
enhance the profile of your organisation.
If you are a practitioner or researcher in any area of interculturality
and you are considering the possilibity of hosting a second cAIR in any
country, please contact
us.
